ifconfig wlan0 up -> SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device

gateway m5052b running Slackware 10.2 w/ 2.6.13 kernel

Need help resolving this issue so I can get my network card working and connecting. I've got an Intel PRO/wireless 2100, ndiswrapper and the aproprate driver. ndiswrapper -l shows that the drivers installed and working, and the hardware's there too, but iwconfig wlan0 still says ESSIDff/any, and won't connect to a network and get an ip. I've tried configuring /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and rc.wireless.conf, but to no avail.

when I try # dhcpcd wlan0 up it tells me
SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device

I'm thinking it's a simple matter of needing to copy some driver file somewhere, but can't figure out what and where to. Oh, and I have done ndiswrapper -m to write it to the configuration file, so it does start up. please help

For anyone who checks this

I solved the problem. It was sort of a simple matter of a thourough readme check for ndiswrapper. Problem turned out to be that I had too high a version of ndiswrapper for my kernel arangement. ATTN: Slackware users: If you're having trouble getting ndiswrapper to work, make sure you're either updated to Kernel v 2.6.6 at least, or that you have ndiswrapper 1.2 or lower.

I also met this problem, but I didn't use ndiswrapper.Instead,I installed wlan-ng-default in my PC.Is that mean I have to change to another wlan-ng?
