I have been having trouble trying to get connected to a dlink 615 router with WPA encryption. I am running a fresh install of FC8(I had been on Slackware but messed it up and don't have the dvd for it).
I have gotten the bcm4311 firmware and extracted with with fwcutter as described at linuxwireless.org and I can get the device running with "ifconfig wlan0up" and I can see the 2 routers in my house broadcasting with Wireless Assistant 0.5.7.
When I attempt to connect to either of the routers I get "Connection Failed". When I was running Slackware 12.2 I was able to connect with wireless but only when there was no encryption on the router.

have you tried to set up your connection manually? In FC10 you can do this using Preferences/Network Manager Editor. Not sure that works in FC8
