can't connect to wireless AP
I have a qwest DSL Modem w/ built in 802.11b and D-link DWL-G630 AirPlus 802.11g card. I have the modem configured and broadcasting and the drivers successfully installed using ndiswrapper, but when I use the command "iwlist wlan0 scan" I get "no scan results"
I tried using the command "iwconfig wlan0 essid xxxxx" even though I have ssid broadcasting on, but I still get the same result. I think the radio might be off but I cant figure out how to turn it on if it is. The 2 lights- act and link- blink back and forth alternately.
I don't have any encryption on (even though it's not safe)
Some other (maybe) relevant notes
the end of the dmesg output is like is should be saying wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:11:95:49:33:2f using driver ar5211.sys
ndiswrapper -l has the driver (net5211) listed and says it's present
EDIT: It's a cardbus card and it's on my vector lappy (see below)
