has any one had any sucess with a belkin 802.11g
if so what distro were you using i think this is my problem not the card
thx
Looks like you will have to use the ndiswrapper since, afaik, Linux does not have a driver for the Broadcom chip. There is another driver, Linuxant, not sure of the spelling, that is similar to ndiswrapper, but it is a commercial product. May have better luck with it.
I have the f5d7000 and f5d7010 cards from belkin. I am using mandrake 10.1 community edition and they both run perfectly using ndiswrapper version 0.11. I have just upgraded to v0.12 of ndiswrapper (released yesterday) and it also works flawlessly. The problem I had initially was the use of the latest driver from the belkin site. It kept locking up during modprobe. Then I downloaded the driver that was confirmed to work and I haven't looked back. I found this driver on the sourceforge site for ndiswrapper.
Hope this helps

rpmdrake in 10.1 CE automatically satisfies dependencies. Wireless tools is installed by default, kernel-source will probably need to be installed. After that, just follow my above instructions.
