Some have had success using ndiswrapper. You can check if your card is listed here:

http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/List

I believe your card uses the Broadcom chip and as far as I know there are no Linux drivers for that chip. Check to see what chip your card is using.

Looks like you will have to use the ndiswrapper since, afaik, Linux does not have a driver for the Broadcom chip. There is another driver, Linuxant, not sure of the spelling, that is similar to ndiswrapper, but it is a commercial product. May have better luck with it.

Hello robodude,

I have the f5d7000 and f5d7010 cards from belkin. I am using mandrake 10.1 community edition and they both run perfectly using ndiswrapper version 0.11. I have just upgraded to v0.12 of ndiswrapper (released yesterday) and it also works flawlessly. The problem I had initially was the use of the latest driver from the belkin site. It kept locking up during modprobe. Then I downloaded the driver that was confirmed to work and I haven't looked back. I found this driver on the sourceforge site for ndiswrapper.
Hope this helps
Chris

I don't beleive there are any dependencies. However you do need the wireless tools package installed.

exactly,

rpmdrake in 10.1 CE automatically satisfies dependencies. Wireless tools is installed by default, kernel-source will probably need to be installed. After that, just follow my above instructions.

Chris
