Win 8 will not boot to VirtIO disk

Win 8 does not boot when the disk bus is changed to VirtIO.

A dummy VirtIO disk was created to force Windows to install the VirtIO driver which worked fine. However after switching the main system disk to VirtIO windows boots part way hits an error and reboots.

I am using the latest 0.1-30 VirtIO driver.

Has anyone else managed to get Win 8 working with VirtIO?

My first guess, and it's only a guess. They changed a lot of things in the storage subsystem. Something is probably broken in the new storage subsystem chain that works after everything is started up. If you have any logs when that happens maybe the developers could either give you a hand getting it working or start a new patch if this is a problem with Windows 8.
