I got the same error when using a DVD that contained several .iso images. Had to build a seperate iso on a CD and it went OK. Hate to do that each time but . . . . . ya do what'ya gotta do.

Let me my give you are brief look of what i have done.
I have a XP bootable cd ,i converted that to .iso using dd if=/dev/hdc of=/root/Desktopcd.iso ,and then copied this file (fileDesktopcd.iso) to /var/www/html ,so that i can access this through apache web server. In vertual machine manager INSTALLATION MEDIA URL in giving http://192.168.0.243/Desktopcd.iso .Here http://192.168.0.243 is my local IP address
Could you post ,me your INSTALLATION MEDIA URL which you are using to create windows vm .
