Sharing a CD/DVD drive from another computer

Scenario. . . .
I have a Mini 1018 computer. .no CD drive. Has Ubuntu 11.4? VMware 3.X. And a few other computers running Windows XP.

In linux, I CAN find the CD Drive of the Windows XP computers, I can access the data, and under Wine, run the stuff i want. But. . .

When I run VMware, I cannot find *any* other computers in the network. thus, I cannot run the stuff off the CD Drives of the other windows computers.

How can I see the CD drives on the other Windows computers through the VMware?

I have tried mounting the Drives BEFORE running VMware, as well as trying to mount the drives after running VMware.

Thanks in advance

Dwayne

Thank you Business Kid. . .Yes, I have. . .

I finally found a way around it. . .

In VMware, I had to go to the VMTab, Click on removable devices, select my USB wireless adapter, and disconnect from the host.

This allowed the VMware to have control of the wireless transmitter, and I was able to find the other computers.

In doing so, I was able to install my RAD Studio C/C++ compiler inside my VMware emulator.

I wish there was a better way, but it was nice to be able to skin the cat.
