Qemu and problem with mount

Hello to everyone!
I have kernel Linux version 3.4.4 and i'm trying to run it under QEMU.
I have a script running at boot time and in this script is used following command:
mount /dev/sda1 /newroot

Both /dev/sda1 and newroot is created correctly before that script is run.
I have created a disk image and created a partition on it before launching qemu.

However that command give me following result:

Any solution?

Please, help me
Thanks

You may need to explain this a bit more.

Some OS running in a virtual machine is to be treated for almost all uses as a real physical computer.
/dev/sda1 either has to be logical to the host computer or to the virtual computer. It would be useless to try to boot the hosts off of the (hosts) sda1 and then turn around and try to boot a VM where it is also using that same physical partition. Generally you use virtual hard drives or as you note an iso mounted to virtual cd/dvd

I don't get the part about this QEMU and what the script is for.
