Question Yum install options

I am using yum to update my KDE 3.4.2 on Fedora Core 4 to KDE 3.5 Now the problem is that I am almost out of space (about 20 MB left) on my Linux drive and so I dont have any room to spare for the downloading files ~160 MB for KDE 3.5

However I have a FAT32 partition for windows which has some space left... Can I configure yum to download the files for KDE to the other partition, if so what is the way to go.

I am adamant on using YUM as it resolves the dependencies beforehand and update gcc etc automatically. This is the reason I don't want to download the tar.gz file from KDE.org as then I will still have to sift my way through tens of unupdated programs.

Have you tried doing,
Code:
#yum clean all
That will remove most of the cache in yum. After that check to see if you have enough space for KDE. Maybe also remove packages that you don't use because they take up disk space unnecessarily.

You could manually download the KDE rpms and save them to your Windows partition (if its fat) and install them from there.

I tried that but that was way too cumbersome

(without using yum dependencies weren't resolved and when I installed the rpms using yum, they demanded updates to about 15 odd apps like gcc etc which would again be downloaded to my Linux partition, so had to make a list of them and download them manually, way too cumbersome)

It was better to risize the partition and reinstall Linux again
