Question XScreenSaver seems to be gone ? Standard install of Slack 9.0

I just started having a prblem, When I start X i get a pop-up box stating the following :

<snip>
There was an error starting up the screensaver:

Failed to execute child process "xscreensaver" (No such file or directory)

Screensaver functionality will not work in this session.
</snip>

I check throu all my documentation to no avail it seems that there is no trace of xscreensaver on my system any more. I never deleted it or removed it This is a full installation of Slack 9.0 I have had it in the past just all of a sudden it is gone.

This is a laptop and only 1 user. (So not malicious person)

If anybody could help me install it back in and maybe let me know what could have happened to it that would be great.

Thanks
