I used a USB floppy drive to boot. It might be possible to boot via network but I didn't try. Since I don't have a CD-ROM, I installed SuSE V8.0 via a LAN connection to my Linux desktop, running a NFS server. Graphics works fine after installation of the two binaries (see above). Sound was working out of the box, same for LAN and USB. I still have some problems to get the power management running and also my first attempt with the internal WIN modem was not successful. The fire wire connection I couldn't test since I have no such device.

Dear todor,

I have installed SuSE V8.0 on my JVC via NFS. I also installed the files as you mentioned. However, I do not get the setup of XF86Config as it should be. Would you mind sending me over your XF86Config file to compare with?
