X.org Composite and a good Mac like Terminal
I spend most of my time at the cli and I would like something that ideally would look like Terminal on my mac (the window decorations are solid the content window translucent with a background image.) Fake transparency just sucks. I have Composite running with the xfce compositor and can use transset-df to adjust things this looks really nice. but the only terminal application that I've found is mrxvt. so far it looks like my options are:
1) mrxvt. nice, light, built in composite support (command line option). can't figure out how to turn the menu bar on though i've seen it in screenshots mostly I just miss copy & paste. also the whole window is translucent even the window decorations (I think I might have to live with this.)
2) start the xfce Terminal from a script then use transset-df to set it's transparency (also from this script). this works but only on one window every other window is not translucent.
does any one have any ideas or know of any terminals that use real composite transparency?
