Unhappy X ./configure error on Suse 9.2

Hello. I want to install the Wulfor Reloaded on my machine but i got a list of dependencies for it. For one of these dependencies I'm trying to configure a xrender-0.8.3 package on a Suse 9.2 distro and i'm getting the following error message:
checking for X... no
configure: error: X is required, but it was either disabled or not found.
Any ideea what should i install first?
Thanks in advance.
