[Suse 8.1] Kopete configure error

while still trying to solve the tray problem with amsn i decided to try kopete out since they say it would dock automattically to the tray in KDE.. well anyway

when i do a "./configure" i get this bunch of stuff (as said in the read me) but then i get:

code code code blablabla...yaddayaddayadda
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

and then it returns me to the console line
What to do ?

ok thanks for that

a few errors later (i missed some other libraries as well) i stumble onto this: (and i can't find a immediate solution)

"checking for kde... configure: error:
in the prefix, you've chosen, are no KDE headers installed. This will fail.
So, check this please and use another prefix!"

then it returns me again to the command line

any help
