WPlayer Keeps Shutting Down My Browser...

I downloaded and installed, the bunzip file MPlayer-1..0pre6a.tar.bz2, and then, I tarred it I put the codecs into the lib folder, and also installed, the xine-mozilla plugin for embeded videos but when I visit a page that has an embedded Video, the window closes, is this a bug or is this something that is suppose to happen, this is on the Fedora 3 version of Linux.
