Wine Problems

Hello,

I have created a lot threads about Wine in openSUSE 10.3 but I never got fully help. Chould anyone please help me and explain how to get Wine work. I tried install it though a .rpm file, I also tried use yAST. I used the search function and searched for Wine i found wine.desktop so I opened it, but nothing happening. I Thought it may chould help to start Wine with a windows application (.exe) so I put in my Warcraft 3 CD disc into the drive and tried to start install.exe with wine but now it shows up a message that says "Sorry - Konqueror, KDEInit chould not start "/usr/share/applications/wine.desktop".

So, how do I get Wine work?

by the way, I am completely new to Linux.

Have you tried running Wine from the command line? I guess that it's something you want to avoid, but this may confirm if you have a broken Wine installation or not.
The command line syntax is:

wine program.exe

Tell me how that works.
Good luck!

This what it says:
richard@linux:~> wine program.exe
wine: creating configuration directory '/home/richard/.wine'...
Could not load Mozilla. HTML rendering will be disabled.
wine: '/home/richard/.wine' created successfully.
wine: could not load L"C:\\windows\\system32\\program.exe": Module not found
richard@linux:~>

So does it works or not?

Replace "program.exe" with the program you want to run, for example "setup.exe" on your WC3 installation CD.
