No, you cannot run it on a Windows partiton and use it in Linux.
You might be able to run it in WINE, but....finding a guide to running AOL on Linux is likely not going to be easy. It is just that the nature of AOL is fairly insulting to a Linux user.
Meanwhile I would imagine you could use another dial-up program on Linux to connect to the AOL servers, but I don't know for sure.
Peng is a very old and out-dated program. There is another version of it, that is more recent, called 'Penggy'. Its site is here. I personally use Penggy to connect to AOL via Linux.
Or you can set it up like a regular dial up account in Linux. Just specify your access numbers as the numbers to call and use your aol username and password.....that's what I did with Earthlink and peoplepc before I switched to my 6mbit dsl.

Doesn't work, aol blows. You MUST use the program to sign on.
How I did it is I have a crappy windows box sign on and I just proxy off that. I would switch ISPs if I could but I can't(I'm not paying for it and all).
onemessedupjedi, would you share how configured linux and windows to proxy off the windows computer. I have walmart dialup that does not support linux/aol partner/ and financesdo not allow me to change at the moment. Much appreciated Marty
