Question AOL for LINUX??


i just bough this book called "Red Hat 7.2 Bible Unlimited Editition"
it came w/ red hat 7.2..
n i was just wondering if there was a version of aol for linux i heard sumthing bout genomre sumthing like dat but does any one have it???
btw do i need any special software to install red hat

nope no version of aol works on linux.. there were rumors that aol might buy redhat, but that is all fake and rumors spreading.

You can run AOL Instant Messenger on Linux. I had it running no problem on Red Hat 7.0

it's better to use messengers like gaim - they can use AOL messaging, MSN, icq, ect. there's a plugin for pretty much everything.

I can't remember how its spelled either, but it was an AOL produced internal beta that they were fiddling with before the project got dumped. Its not GPL, and they closed its ability to interact with AOL services, so if you find a version of it... its going to be pretty warez'y.

AOL?

i dont mean to be rude but why in holy hell would you be using AOL? There are so many thing wrong about AOL and their software
