why wi-fi lamp not turning on (in my laptop)

Hello,
I have a lenovo T43 laptop.
I have recently installed Fedora 14 on it.
I find that the wi-fi is not turning on (the lamp on the panel remains off.) I have tried issuing commands like iwlist, etc. but it stubbornly remains off.

Any way by which I could turn it on.

Thanks,

Prabhat Soni

Do you know which WiFi card you have there?
It might be that this card is not supported {yet} by your Fedora.

No, it works.
Earlier It was FC11, and there it was not going ON. Then I installed wlassistant. When I used to launch the wlassistant, it used to come on.
Not any more. Now it is not coming on after I have switched over to F14 - not even with wlassistant.
