Cool Why 3 kernel options in my Bootloader?

I am not sure what had happened?
My ubuntu bootloader has 3 kernel to choose,

Ubuntu 2.6.35-26-generic
Ubuntu 2.6.35-25-generic
Ubuntu 2.6.35-22-generic

All can boot into linux, when I use uname -a to check, it has its name as above.

Why like that?

Because security updates were downloaded and installed. This is normal.

also they are back ups
system updates CAN and DO break things
it is a given that sometime in the life of the computer a update for something will have a bug

Ubuntu is fairly stable so ?? maybe 2 in 5 years ?? maybe
but "things happen "

and when they do, booting into the last KNOWN GOOD kernel is VERY VERY NICE OPTION TO HAVE !

In general, after an upgrade, you test the new kernel, if it works OK, you can remove the older kernels
using your package manager

Kind regards
