Where to place my www page ?

Im new to HTML, Apache, and Linux.. Probably a real simple question for you guys though...

Im trying to create a "real" simple HTML page using Kate, once I create it, where do i put it ? /etc/var/www ?

When i launch Konqueror I see the Apache home page, how do i direct my browser to bring up my HTML page ???

it should go to /var/www/html

Usually by default it will be in either /var/www/ or even Redhat places it in the /home directory now.. but you can place it where you see fit by just editing your httpd.conf file.
