when does ldconfig refresh it's own cache?


hello,

does ldconfig refresh it's cache "ld.so.cache" when it doesn't find a given lib or do you've to manually run /sbin/ldconfig ?

It may be a part of a cron task - check your /etc/crontab file, or /etc/cron.d directory - or it may be done at some point in time, during boot.

yes indeed , i've a boot script for opensuse which seems to be doing just that
