Whats the best software available from running windows apps under linux

I would like to stop dual booting my computer and go strictly to linux but there are a handful of specific application that i need to run that are only offered for windows. What is the best ( most streamlined ) package out there for doing this? ... if any.

i guess my only suggestion could be wine, if you want something free ...
but then again its trial and error when trying to get them apps running through wine ...
some have a great success rate running with wine, and some don't
so it kinda depends on the app also ..

i recommend running wine and winex side-by-side and see which programs work with which. even though wine is supposed to work with apps better and winex with games, i've used some apps that only work in winex. use script's from this guy's web site to install them:

http://ting.homeunix.org/

that'll get you the most current source of wine and winex straight from cvs, compile it, and install it for you. it's a beautiful thing. if you are really intent on getting rid of windoze, you might consider commercial wine such as purchasing Transgaming's WineX or Codeweavers' Crossover products.
