What do you guys use for Gmail Notification (for Slackware)?


Just as the topic asks... and i do not want to use the one for fire fox... thanks!

I use the mozilla one I'm moving this to Software, although you ask for a Slack based solution, the answer will more likely be distro unspecific.

I use Firefox, and the gMail notifier extension. I was using a gDesklet gmail notifier but it didn't work well at all. I highly recommend the firefox extension if your using firefox as your browser.

I used KcheckGmail until I started using Firefox (then got the extension)

where would i find the extension for gmail notification for firefox? the extension site only lists something for gmail compose...is that it?

gmail for linux

if you go here u will find a handy little utill "http://gmail-notify.sourceforge.net/"
this is not distro specific im using mandrake 10.1 official
this tool is just like the one gmail provide for windows make sure to read instructions propery though.
