VNC not working after logoff

I set up a server with Redhat FC3 server install (with Gnome) and I am having trouble with VNC. Whenever I am logged into the server then I can access it via VNC; howerver, if I logout or restart then I can no longer access it via VNC unless I go to the server and physically log into it.

When I restart the machine I do see a line that says:
Code:
Starting vncserver [OK]
And under 'Services' I do have 'vncserver' checked although it says 'Xvnc is stopped' but I can still access the computer via VNC.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

Todd

HI I to have this same problem.

I would like to be able to logoff my Linux box and then be able to log back in.
I can do this from linux to windows ok but not the other way round.

I ve tried to set up an accout at TightVNC but there is an error on their mailing list.

I'm using GNome and TightVNC ( very fast) on my local network.

When I logout I get the desktop only with no taskbars and have to stop and restart vncserver on the linux box
to access it again from windoze.

Any ideas

Cheers
Bob
