Question VNC server not working

I have started the VNC service and it's running. I have also:

[root@host root]# vncserver

I cannot establish a connection. Can anyone provide me with steps to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance,

A linux newbie-

Thumbs up

already resolved. thanks for the link hob!

acid: my apologies for the brief issue. i had tried to delete this post but could not find that option anywhere. that's why i opened another with the details of my xstartup file. you can close this and the other ("Cannot view Desktop in VNC - threadid=170625").

hopefully this is enough description for you.
