vixie-cron update wanted

Hi

I have RH8 and vixie-cron-3.0.1-69.

Until now I have been able to work around the bug which requires STDOUT & STDERR redirected to NULL. But it has grown to be really painful in debugging problems that only arise for the "cron-user".

I understand later versions of vixie-cron have fixed this problem, but I think the above version is the last available in RPM for RH8. I have been trying unsuccessfully to track down a later 'fixed' tar.gz source which I could build.

Does anyone know where to find one?

Thanks. Yes, that listing confirms 3.0.1-69 as final rpm for RH8 available. And package seems distro specific everywhere? So I guess a source to build cannot be found in plain vanilla tar.gz?
