VisualBoyAdvance Install Problems?

First, Sorry for bothering you guys again.

I tried to install visualboy advance on slackware. when I execute it in xterm, it gives me this:

"./VisualBoyAdvance: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I installed that library about 3 times from different sources and in different formats just to be sure. I know I have the other necessary libraries, too.

So whats the problem?

Does anybody know? I'd really like to use it but I can't, and it's forcing me to use my slower windows partition.
