vi/vim command


is there a way to save a file as the prior name with out typing the full following command or could i use a vi alias?

Will save the file and leave the name the same. I think that's what you were asking for.

it caused me to exit vi...
can we save under the same name w/o exiting

never mind i figured it out
it lets u save with out using the file name
