VI question

I fat-fingered while using VI to edit my iptables script and now, whenever using VI to edit a document the work iptables is always highlighted in yellow and impossible to read. I have looked through the man and help files but couldn't find anything regarding the color maping. Any help would be appreciated.

There are two files to look at: /etc/vimrc and /etc/DIR_COLORS. In the first, look for the line, near the top, which beginns with 'colorscheme'. If there is a name after it, that the colorscheme you are currently using (do locate on the scheme name to see where the vim color schemes are installed). The second file allows you to change filetype colors by file extension or type, followed by the foreground and background colors (the file is documented with the color names and numbers).
