RE: Suse 8.0 hardware question {newbie question, pls help}
Hi,
I'm thinking about trying Suse 8.0. I've checked Suse hardware page,but can't get it to work. My graphic cards are: NeoMagic 256
nVidia TNT 2 and nvidia Geforce 2 mx and also a Trident Cyber 9525 as well. CAn anyone pls tell me if Suse will work on these cards.
cheers

being a picky git, i'd say that yes suse will run on any graphics card.. BUT you mean will X (windows) run on it, which isn't anything to do with suse per se. the cards supported are listed at
http://www.xfree86.org/4.2.0/Status.html
but bascailly, yes they'll all work fine (maybe not the trident). you'll probably want to get the officail X drivers from nvidia.com at some point tho, although you should strictly need them.

Well I have an Nvidia GeForce 2 MX 400 AGp 4x. and I'm running Suse 7.3 just fine. Nvidia has updated drivers for 7.3 and maybe 8.0.
So GeForce2 + Suse 7.3 = yes
GeForce2 + Suse 8.0 = maybe (check nvidia site)
