Using Kopete Behind A Proxy

I'm finding that I'm having a lot of trouble doing things on Linux behind my proxy. I still don't know how to use Konsole behind my proxy, and now I download Kopete, and find out that it doesn't have a proxy option. So, does anybody know of any way to make Kopete connect through my proxy? Or of a multi-messenger client that will let me connect through a proxy?

I've tried gaim, and it just didn't work all that great.

Thanks
Kevin

what plugin(s) are you using that needs access through the proxy ... just by quickly analyzing the changelog on the homepage, from what i get from it all, there is support for icq and irc ...

I'm not sure what you're talking about here. I just installed Kopete. i have to access all web services (IE. websites, email, CHAT CLIENTS)

In otherwords, I need to set up Kopete to access the net through my proxy server. I have mozilla using my proxy, KMail using my proxy. But those 2 had actual settings for proxies. Kopete doesn't, so i was wonderingi f there was any way to make it access through a proxy instead of directly.
