Configuring proxy server in Kopete

hi
i am using Mandrake 10 official and tried using Kopete. i am behind a proxy server. Now Kopete has no option for proxy config. how can it be done? when i try to connect it to yahoo or MSN it just hangs! what am i to do?

Kopete use the network settings in KDE's control center to set it's proxy settings and so forth. (Covered in the manual, which I am currently reading trying to solve a possibly related problem with my Kopete client not connecting to AIM.)

i'm using a simp server for unix.how can i set a proxy server for kopote msn account only??

I don't have any idea what a "simp server for unix" is. I do know that proxy settings for kopete can be set from KDE, because I've done it. Get in the Control Center and look under "Network and Internet" (at least, in KDE 3.4). You might find what you seek there.
