Uninstalling Xandros
Hey hey
I have, for the period of installing Xandros 3.0 on my PC enjoyed it immensley. It's ease of use and Windows compatibility opened my eyes to another side of Linux that I'd never seen before.
Anyway, I formatted the drive in which Xandros was installed and i preceded to install Ubuntu 5.04. After installation it required a reboot, and upon reboot it came up with the Xandros boot menu. Obvously, the menu link to the Xandros log-in screen is non-operational as Ubuntu is now located on that drive. What is strange is that even after formatting the only drive that had Xandros on it the boot menu still presists so exist. The only solution to the problem is resetting my Master Boot Record.. which is only considered my last resort, as last time I reset it my partition tables screwed up.
Is there another way to remove the Xandros boot manager?
