I am running Fedora 13 - but I have limited experience with linux.
I have downloaded ecasound tar ball and I have done the ./configure, make, and make install and it seemed to work.
I tried to run ecasignalview - but it complained that ECASOUND was not setup. I created (at this stage, just 'on the fly') ECASOUND and set it to /usr/local/bin/. (I looked in that folder and there is an executable there, although when I tried searching the File System for files called ecasound, it did not report that). Then, when I ran ecasignalview, I got this message.
