Angry install troubles

I've been trying to set up a dual-boot system with Windows XP Pro and Red Hat 7.3. I got Windows installed perfectly(surprisingly) but when i try to install Red Hat and then reboot I get the error saying "NTLDR is missing". Ive tried reinstalling multiple times using different settings and trying both the LILO and GRUB boot loader. I have even tried Installing linux first and without installing windows I get the same message.

The last time I did it i got the same message and then tried using the boot disk but i got another error saying "boot failed"

I hate to say this but im about to just go with a dual-booting windows xp and 2000.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are never actually change the mbr to use lilo or grub instead of the Windows loader. After you set up the lilo or grub configuration file you then have to install the bootloader to the mbr. For lilo the command is:
lilo
and for grub the command is:
grub-install /dev/hda

If you install Linux a second time then you also need to recreate the boot floppy. The boot floppy from your first Linux install will not work on subsequent Linux installs.
