trying to install eterm on RedHat 8

After I configure and then run make I get an error and am having trouble tracking down what it is. Here is what happens ( I will begin at where I think the error starts):

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [libEterm.la] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/evan/progs/Eterm-0.9.2/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/evan/progs/Eterm-0.9.2'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

Does anyone know what this is saying?

Thanks,
