Trying to install a c compiler
just installed mandrake 9.1 on my system and im trying to get a c compiler installed because its needed for other installations ect. cant seem to do it tho.. a lil help please.
yeah open a terminal, "su" to root and run it. alternatively just install gcc via the mandrake package manager (which is just a front end to the nifty urpm system)
Ok so how does one install the gcc on red hat linux 8.0? I'm trying to use Perl, but to install it I need to have a C+ compiler any help would be appreciated. Or if anyone knows of an easy way to password protect folders, directories what have you on my web server I would appreciate it!
