Trouble with wine RPMs on redhat 9

I have been trying to install wine (20031212-1rh73winehq), but it seems that all the files for it disappearred after i ran winesetuptk (0.71, tar.gz package). None of the files listed by

Code:

rpm -q -l wine

seem to exist, and it gives me missing file when i try to start it using the terminal. However, the system still seems to think it exists, as when i try to install it again, it says that it is already installed. However, i get errors when i try to uninstall it using

Code:

rpm -e wine-20031212-1rh73winehq

. The errors read:

error reading information on service wine: No such file or directory
error: %preun(wine-2003-1212-1rh73winehq) scriptlet failed, exit status 1

d00d your using the rpm built for redhat 7.3, and if your distro is correct under your name, you say your using redhat 9 ... and if all this is the case, then you need this one

tried it, i got "A newer version of "wine" is already installed"
