trn - can't get USENET posting to work

I'm using the trn newsreader and I can't get it to post anything. Mozilla posts with no problem, but trn won't. It uses inews to post, and it has problems with the headers or something. When I post, the default article starts out as:
Code:
Newsgroups: alt.test
Subject: yet another test posting
Summary:
Expires:
References:
Sender:
Followup-To:
Reply-To:
Distribution:
Organization: Debian GNU/Linux site
Keywords:
Cc:

this is a test
Note that the Sender: line is blank and that there is no From: line. When I try to post this, inews complains with this error message:
Code:
inews: Sender header: address syntax error
Okay, so I manually edit the Sender: line to this:
Code:
Newsgroups: alt.test
Subject: yet another test posting
Summary:
Expires:
References:
Sender: Isaac Kuo <mechdan@yahoo.com>

who cares I'm just testing...
This time, inews complains about the From: line:
Code:
inews: From header: address syntax error
Okay, so now I try to add a From: line; I believe line order matters so I try adding it in several different places. Here's an example of one try:
Code:
Newsgroups: alt.test
Subject: yet another test posting
Summary:
Expires:
References:
Sender: Isaac Kuo <mechdan@yahoo.com>

who cares I'm still just testing...
When I put in the From: line, it complains about the Sender line, with the same error as before:
Code:
inews: Sender header: address syntax error
I can't figure out what's going on! Please help, anyone!

Oh, I did try and do all of the above with just my plain e-mail address, like this:
Code:
Sender: mechdan@yahoo.com
and also tried to match my local user setup with this:
Code:
Sender: isaac@antonia
. Neither had any effect on the error messages.

Like I said, Mozilla worked without any problem. All it asked from me to setup was my e-mail address (mechdan@yahoo.com) and my news server (news.east.cox.net). I also had to set my newsserver to get trn to be able to read newsgroups--reading works fine.

Thanks for any help!
