Better WMs allow to grab the left window edge and drag to the right to shrink the window. Are you unable to do so?

Are you unable to drag window left to expose its right edge to drag left, or lower right corner to drag anywhere?

Try ALT-Left click and hold.

This should allow you to drag the window to a position where an edge is visible. Then you can grab the edge and resize the window.

Yes, unable. It's not the WM but Tor &/or Xubuntu (+other flavors?), that combo. Xubuntu works with other browsers & Tor works in a different XFCE distro.

Which one is responsible for compatibility?

I'm in XFCE not Xubuntu at the moment & the latest Tor Browser is open normally on the next workspace.

Unable, yes. I can only use the [ALT] key to scroll over to click the lower right dialog button, but the superwide window snaps back to oversized & remains unsizable.

If you Ctrl-Alt-Fn, e.g. with F3, then return to XFCE, e.g. with Alt-F7 or Alt-F1, does any behavior change?
