I have some image file(TIF Format)with japanese font. There are any s/w to convert it searchable japanese pdf? pls help

tiff is a raster format--ie the image is described in pixels--regardless of whether it contains text. I think the only way to get into PDF would be to first use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) SW.

Try a Google search using maybe "Japanese OCR"

You could possibly use an OCR package to convert it to readable text.

This is supposed to be a very good OCR program and it's trainable for languages other than englich.. (they mention Chinese in the docs for instance)
