stop services running in /etc/inetd.conf

Hi,

Please I am finding it difficult stopping services running in inetd.conf. I put a # to the service, but when scanned it still says the port is open.

Thanks

Hi,

Do you restart inetd after changing /etc/inetd.conf?
Also tell us what distro you're running

Regards
