Squid error (token='carp-load-factor=0.5')

I am trying to setup a squid proxy for load balancing on two other squid proxy servers. I am using Squid 2.6.stable13. When I run RunCache & I get the following error:

2007/10/24 09:16:26| parse_peer: token='carp-load-factor=0.5'
FATAL: Bungled squid.conf line 619: cache_peer (my.server) parent 8080 0 no-query no-digest carp-load-factor=0.5
Squid Cache (Version 2.6.STABLE13): Terminated abnormally.

I am not able to find any information on the parse_peer error. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

you'd presumably need to rebuild squid with carp enabled, which it presumably isn't by default.

Squid error (token='carp-load-factor=0.5')

I did that. It still did not work. I am using round robin instead. It seams to be working fine.

Thank you for your suggestions.
