Snort on CentOS with CPanel/WHM Question

I am planning on installing Snort on my CentOS 5.4 box with CPanel/WHM installed. Would installing this impact CPanel or WHM in any way?

PS:
I'm running CentOS 5.4, as a VPS, with Plesk. I can assure you there are no conflicts there...

It's not a CPanel application. It's an IDS.
