small xfree86


How can I compile a small Xfree86 like the projects that boot PXE do like pxes and thinstation. I need Xfree86 < 20 meg and I don't want to sue a Xframebuffer(vesa)

Well, there are no versions of XFree like xfree86-less-than-20mb, xfree86-less-than-30mb etc. ;-)
You should try to recompile it with minimum features (try ./configure --help) and you should try to find there right way to disable Xframebuffer.
Maybe it will help you, but I dont really know whether XFree can be less than 20mb, but I think it probably can
