Question setup for a dialup backup using gnome-ppp

I am trying to setup a dial-up to backup my ADSL connection. I
have installed gnome-ppp and the dialer works, but I am having
a problem with going to ppp. any help would be greatly accepted.
The ISP provider only supports dialup fom a windows system. The
gnome-ppp does not provide a way to set PAP, CTS-RTS, etc.

What distro are you using? Try wvdial and a gui for it?

I am running Mint-14. I have tried gnome-ppp which uses the wvdial to connect the modems.
My problem is going to ppp, something to do with pap, etc. I get connected to the modem, but
getting the IP, DNS, and the default router no luck.
