Hello,
I have a system with a Fedora Core 2 install on it, running software RAID 0 in the following setup:
2 hard drives:
3000mb 7200rpm seanix
2000mb 7200rpm caviar
4 partitions:
/dev/md0 mounted on /, 4000mb (seanix/caviar)
/dev/hda1 mounted on /boot, 100mb (seanix)
/dev/hda3 mounted on /home, 730mb (seanix)
and a 256mb swap partition (seanix)
During startup, I get the following error message:
Setting up Logical Volume Management ...
No volume groups found ...
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while ... [FAILED]
Other than the error, the system works without a hitch.
I know this isn't the perfect RAID setup, since the hard drives are different sizes and makes, but the same error comes up even on "good" RAIDed systems:

If anyone could explain to me what's happening and how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it.
