SEO Panel Install

All,

Trying to install SEO Panel from the HOWTO at:

https://www.howtoforge.com/how-to-in...n-ubuntu-1804/

I get all the way down to the section "Access Seo Panel" and I do not get the browser screen I need to see.

I'm sure it's related to the Apache issues I'm having in my post at:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...lp-4175681489/

Because SEO Panel is acting like the issue I'm having with PHPmyAdmin!

If you know what I need to get this working right, please contribute.

Cheers!

TBNK

PS

I have an older version of SEO Panel running on a Kubuntu 14.04 box!

Anyone,

Can I get some help on this? Checked in /var/www/html and the directory for seopanel is there, but phpmyadmin is not. Searching to see where /phpmyadmin got installed.

Only find it at: /etc/phpmyadmin/ and no place else.

Cheers!

I believe bumping up questions is frowned upon here. If I am not wrong, threads without replies are bumped up automatically twice, once every 24 hours or so. If nobody replies, the most natural explanation is lack of experience with the subject.

I will not link these sites.

ondoho,

If you think I'm not listening, it might be that the explanation/answer given is totally vague, so not even close to being understood. I try to help those responding to me as I'm 100% a "Concept Person" and if I don't understand the concept, then your answer, though not meant to be, left me clueless.

As far as answers here, no replies have solved the problem(s) and so I feel I'm being ignored, not helped.

Now my orginal problem started when I added my 3T drive and moved all projects there, but could not get Apache to recognize that drive at all. I had always just used aliases up till then. So I thought if instead of being called in "/media", if I declared and mounted it in /etc/fstabs maybe the issues would clear. But not so!

So then I declare the two additional virtual hosts of projects.com and tbnk-svr, and had all the problems with the separate index.html files not showing for those. With some help here, worked through those issues, but though the issues were solved, an apache restart was not reloading them and only found out they were fixed with I was forced to reboot.

So now the 3 index.html files work/display, but still have these 3 issues:
  1. PHP works at the command line, but not in the browser,
  2. PHPmyAmin gives a "Forbidden" message in the browser,
  3. SEOPanel gives a "Forbidden" message in the browser,
  4. localhost/test.php gives a "Forbidden" message in the browser,

I know it's a permission issue, but no clue where to look. Still don't have the Apache concept conquered yet. I've learn, through this process, a little of what the entries in the error.log means, but when the error log says:

Code:
[Mon Feb 01 15:17:38.837040 2021] [access_compat:error] [pid 28595] [client 127.0.0.1:48972] AH01797: client denied by server configuration: /var/www/favicon.ico, referer: http://localhost/test.php
That tells me absolutely nothing that I do not already know that the config is somehow wrong so not allowing execution of PHP in the browser.

I'm not trying to be vauge and thus I shared all my config files, etc, because I have no clue of what to look for at this point.

Cheers!

ondoho,

I even remembered this code is needed in Apache, so looked it up, found it in "/etc/apache2/mods-available/dir.conf:

Code:
<IfModule mod_dir.c>
        DirectoryIndex index.html index.cgi index.pl index.php index.xhtml index.htm
</IfIfModule>
Knowing that without this no index.php file can be found, but that is not the problem as you can see it is right! So since the browser is displaying "index.html", I checked on php, by renaming index.html to index.php and now I get the "Forbidden" message.

See why I'm confused and at my wits end!

Cheers!

Upload all the files contained in this folder (retaining the directory structure) to a web accessible directory on your server or hosting account.

All,

The fact that seopanel is not working is directly related to my Apache problems that I posted at:

https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...72#post6250772

I get localhost partially working but then no vhosts work, then get Apache error free and nothing works, then get the vhosts working but localhost doesn't work. So exhausting because the error reporting in Apache is so vauge and irrelefant to any real problems and right now I'm at the 0 errors, but nothing is working!

I'm sooooooo tired of fighting this!

All;

OK got some of my Apache issues resolve, so now seopanel gets up to the "Database Settings" screen, in it's first pass setup procedure and that error with a "Can not connect to database" error. So somewhere in the config settings for seopanel the UID/PWD combo is not set correctly, so the system therefore errors when attempting MySQL login.

Hope you know this answer on where to look and fix this!

Cheers!

Does the "Database Settings" screen not have places for you to enter the dB host, name, user & PW?

descendant_command,

Yes! But that was not working, so SEO Panel Support said I had to edit the seopanel.conf file and reset the UID/PWD setting, which I did and it worked, but now it does not, sooo confused!

I had a similar problem with SEO, and I don’t even know why it wasn’t working. I decided to try another SEO. I have a small cafe, and I was looking for a small business SEO services to improve my rankings. I kept on searching for a long time and still couldn’t find a good agency. When I got desperate, I decided to call my brother, who has a retail store, and ask him if he knows any agencies. He said that he knows a good place and sent me their website via email. I decided to give it a shot, and I wasn’t disappointed. A web company did their job amazingly, and I was pleased with the services that were provided.

MariaTurner,

That solution might be good for a single web-site, but SEO Panel is designed for persons and companies that offer web-site promotion services, so it can easily handle well over 5,000 web-sites that you are promoting and survey the web-sites of potential clients returning a report on the deficiencies. I personally own 28 companies with over 100 websites and an addtional 50 blogs so SEO Panel is just 1 of over 10 tools I use to make sure my rankings are at least in the top 100 for all these I own and in the top 10 for all clients I promote!
