Sendmail - Set up mail server - is the RPM good enough?

Hi,

Recently I tried to build a mail server by downloading and building sendmail. But, I was wondering if I could just "install" the rpm provided in the standard linux distribution CDs. I found that the installing the rpm actually takes care of most of my needs...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Manudath

postfix

Hvae you considered using postfix instead of sendmail? Really flexible and rather easy to set up. Furthermore its popular so theres a ton of howtos for almost any weird combination af mailsystems out there.
